The city of Granada rests on the shores of Lake Cocibolca in Nicaragua; the largest freshwater lake in Central America. But between the shore and the deep of the lake are the Islets de Granada. 365 green tropical islands occupy the shallows of the lake and are home to several species of migratory birds, monkeys and exotic fauna. The most ideal way to explore and enjoy this incredible slice of nature is by kayak, and even then, I couldn’t even begin to see all that this wonderful place has to offer.
