2020 was a year that most of the world would like to forget. It was a hard time for many people, and I’m not taking anything away from those who suffered the most, but wow, it sucked to be a traveler. But, right before the pandemic put the world on hold, I was able to sneak in one more trip, and that was to the island of Puerto Rico. This was the only time I’ve ever traveled outside of the continental United States with someone else. Luckily it was my best friend, and I was able to show her things that she didn’t even know she had interest in, including her first hike, and her first mountain summit.

Only hike I’ve done with my BFF

This gorgeous waterfall was the prelude to my first and only hike in Puerto Rico. I was unaware of just how beautiful this island was.

Lush rainforest

As I walked out of the forest after going to see a waterfall, I looked back one last time and snapped this photo.
